Hello all.
Just a reminder that we are having an opening at the farm Sept 4-7 hours 10-5. We will have food and beverage. I guess paella is coming on Sunday...
Michael Imes will have his work in our gallery all four days. He will be here Sunday and Monday. I am so excited to have him here, this is someone I really looked up to as a student and young artist. Now he is my friend, and still someone to admire.
Katie is currently framing 29 new pieces of all sizes. We've had fun making her frames and matching work with wood. She has labored doggedly on the garden and yard (stupid drought), but everything looks good.
I have like 40 small paintings and maybe 20 large ones. Last year I said I would have some old paintings discounted, someone asked me about it and then I didn't have them. I'll have half a dozen old ones, I promise. I have been on a roll. Not that the work is any better or worse, it just feels like when I am outside painting, everything is so alive to me. Ever since going through my childhood home this past winter, its just intense and a feeling I want to keep going.
Hope to see you soon!
PS: I will have work for my next two shows that is new for those shows. I owe fresh work to the people at those shows that have supported me.
